I joined here several days ago, so sorry if I missed it, but is there
any word on if/when iTMS protected AAC files will be able to be
converted on the fly for eventual streaming to Squeezebox?

My Impression, given the blurb regarding Slim Devices's involvement with the
Electronic Freedom Foundation, is that this is a bit of a touchy subject.
Timing is likely all a matter of Apple getting the pole out of their backsides,
chaining their lawyers up, and hand over the specs to unlock the protection
enough for devices other than iPods and PC's running iTunes to be take part in
the DRM. Being that SlimServer is open source, it might be a big hurdle to be
allowed to include anything that Apple wants total control over.
