View Full Version : Exbrowse3 still under development??

I've installed 6.2.2 and was hoping it might resolve an issue I've had with the Exbrowse 3 skin for some time. When I add songs to the playlist (either using the 'play' or 'add to playlist' links) it seems to add the songs in alphabetical order rather than track number.

The only workaround I've found is to use a different skin to queue up music, then switch to Exbrowse 3. The other skins work as expected, so I assume the issue to be specific to Exbrowse3.

Has anyone else seen this? And anyone know of a fix/workaround?

Thanks,

Tom

Get into the habit of reading the changelog. If an issue isn't noted
in there, it isn't fixed.

Default2 and ExBrowse3 need updating by the author. This is a known
issue, and we're all waiting with baited breath

You and I both know that changelogs rarely show *everything* that was changed. I'm sure the Slim guys are better than most at this, but thought it worth asking anyway.

Here's hoping for a future release...

http://svn.slimdevices.com/branches/BRANCH_6_3_x/server/HTML/ExBrowse3/

will show you everything you need (and more ;-)). And if you reported the
bug on bugs.slimdevices.com you'd be informed when it's fixed.

No kidding :)

Sorry... both school and work have been interfering in the past
months. I haven't abandoned it, and both skins will be fully
functional by 6.5 release.

(Heck, I have tomorrow off.. I'll try to get 6.2 back into shape then.)

Interesting... but I'm definitely no expert on CVS or the workings of open source development. What is that link showing me?

Thanks again for the responses guys - much appreciated. :-)

You said changelogs did not show everything that changed. Looking at that
page will show you every character of code that changed in the different
files - most often the description will be easier to understand ;-)

at the moment, nothing much since the last time anything was done to
that list of files, was when 6.3.0 was created. If any files involved
in teh skin are updated, then you will see updated times in that list.
Clicking on any of the files, and you can see that the history for
those files is such that very little has been done in quite some time
(as has been aknowledged by the author).
