    Ribbon Cable for an SB2

Does anybody have a source for a longer version of the ribbon cable used between the motherboard and the VFD board in the SB2.

I'm rehousing the unit in a new cabinet with a power-supply and DAC.

take an old IDE or floppy cable, strip the ends off and split it at the right number of contacts

you coule even just cut the required number of regular electronics wire to the right length and attach them. they don't need to be a special type of wire at all.

            SB1 has standard a ribbon cable with 14-pin 0.1" IDC crimp-on headers.

SB2 however has a 20-pin FPC (flex printed circuit) cable. I believe the Digikey part number for a 6" cable is HFF-20U-06-ND (catalog page 55).

Yes that is very helpfull, however the £2.86 price is vastly outwieghed by the Digikey £22 charge for P&P, anyone know a cheaper supplier?

                  regards
                  Simon
