To be clear:

Yes, SLIMP3 syncs with squeezebox.

When playing WAVs, the server will need to transcode for SLIMP3, but
for squeezebox it'll be sent in raw PCM. Many other
decoding/transcoding configurations are possible. Synchronization of
two streams in different formats is possible - we'll make sure it works.
