Synchronising with slimp3's

Hi,

Can you synchronise Slimp3's with the squeezebox?
If so, can the source file be WAV say, so the squeezebox gets to play out
the highest possible source whilst streaming MP3 coded on the fly to the
Slimp3?
If so would there be a latency difference between the WAV & MP3 streams?

That should work, but I can't say that it's been tested yet.
