My player is giving me the following when I try to play from music from my hard drive-Problem-Can't Open File For-.

My player plays Internet Radio fine so I know it's connecting wirelessly.

Anyone have this problem before and if so, how did you fix it.

Thanks.

A few more details of your setup would help please !

What version of slimserver ?
What type are the files you are trying to play ? mp3, ogg, flac, AAC ?
They're not protected by DRM are they ?
Did you download them from Allofmp3 ?
What type of o/s is Slimserver running on ? XP/Mac/Linux ?
Are the files on the same hard drive as Slimserver or are they on a networked device ?

IME this sort of message usually means that the file has been deleted, moved or renamed, or that slimserver doesn't have permission to read it.

FIXED!!!

I looked at my settings and for some reason, my external hd renamed itself F: from E: and my music files were listed under E:

I just reset my server to look under F: instead of E:

What a relief!

Love my Squeezebox!

Thanks for the responses.
