Wondering if I were to put a huge amount of mp3s online on an FTP site of my own, would there be a way for Squeezenetwork to access them?

This is just another ploy to avoid having a computer on all of the time.

Thanks

Not FTP, but if you made them web-accessible you could stream them.
Use m3u/pls playlists and add those to your favorites. Just make
sure to secure things properly.

what/how do you make them "web accessible"?

you can upload them with FTP, but they would have to be on a web site accessable over http.

This seems to imply that, yes, you could put all of your mp3s on some web accessible FTP space, generate .pls or .m3u for the whole mess, then point the Squeezenetwork to look for the playlists. This would allow never-ending access to my music at all times from wherever I am. This seems way cool. Will experiment...

Has Slim Devices ever thought of partnering with someone in the online storage business? It could make SqueezeNetwork integration easier and more powerful. Might be pretty cool.

Personally, I'd love this, though online storage costs may still be a bit too high.

Of course, when SqueezeNetwork is integrated with Rhapsody (really hoping for this!), it won't matter nearly as much...
