I've often wished this were possible, but just assumed that it'd be an
extremely difficult thing to manage. Is it?

Also, along these lines, it'd be great were I able to connect my
listening habits on the Slim with iTunes smart playlists. Such that
music played over the Slim would influence playlists (i.e. most often
played, etc) and that Slim might access smart playlists generated by
iTunes.

As windows users can now enjoy this feature as well, it'd be swell were
there a way to make this happen.

I am trying to stream R4 into the slimp. It is in realplayer format. Does
anyone know a way to convert it to a format that the slimp supports?

Thanks

There is someting called alien streams, but AFAIK it only works under
Linux :o(

It really pi$$es me off that the BBC only stream in real format,
especially as DAB isn't very good in my area.

Digital TV card? BBC radio stations with allegedly more bandwidth than DAB

I use one, it's great, I'd love to know how to stream Audio to my Slimp
though.

Damon.

Hi

If you're a OSX user you can try Nicecast from Rogue Amoeba ( several
messages have been posted about it before ) ... allows one to stream
any audio from any application on a mac to slimp3. Essentially OSX's
answer to shoutcast i guess. Use it to stream BBC World Service. (Need
to run realplayer still)

Maybe for windows shoutcast may work ?? Not having a windows machine
can't really say if it does ..

cheers
