I'd like to hang my SB3 from a drop-down bracket (it's going under a kitchen cabinet), so in addition to finding a small hinge & swivel bracket it would look better if the chrome stand was removed.

Is the stand used internally for support or can I take it off and plug the holes?

Thx!

Someone else did something similar with an SB2 by just flipping the display 180% and mounting it upside down. An SB2 would probably be better suited for this type of install and wouldn't require a swivel since it's only about 2" tall.

OTOH, you can take the chrome stand off. But it requires you to open the case, and that requires you to be comfortable and careful inside an electronic device.

Oh, and it likely voids your warantee.

You will need a Torx driver.
