Question about cloth in the SB3 Box

There is this felt like piece of cloth included in my SB3 box, is that supposed to serve any purpose?

I reckon that's for polishin' the device's display. Just don't use it with Comet®. ;-)

....which might be the reason why most didn't even notice its existence and
mine is still in the cardboard box. I'll eventually use it to clear my
glasses.

Both of mine functioned as soon as I plugged them in. Took me longer to get my wireless network set up correctly about a year before I bought my first squeezebox, but of course that's a completely separate issue...

I'd keep it, just in case you run out of TP.
I use mine to clean my guitars.
