How do I name my own favorite radiostations on my SlimServer? I can enter a radio url like http://www.dr.dk/netradio/Metafiler/PLS/DR_Barometer_128.pls ("DR Barometer", great alternative music) by going to "Radio Tune In", and the music will play, but...
If I add "DR Barometer" as a favorite together with my already added "KCRWMusic" (which is a pre-programmed station in SlimServer), the two stations turns op like this in the favorite list on SlimServer and Squeezebox:

1. kcrwmusic
2. mms://wmscr1.dr.dk/e02ch09m?wmcontentbitrate=300000/.wma&MSWMExt=.asf

Surely there must be some way I can name my own stations something usefull?

It's not a problem on www.squeezenetwork.com, but I can't figure how to do it on my SlimServer?

I have just discovered that I can add the same station and get the name defined by choosing the same stations .asx stream instead of the .pls stream:

http://www.dr.dk/netradio/Metafiler/asx/dr_barometer_128.asx

But still, if the station are only available as .pls, how do you give it a name?

You can do this if you shut down SlimServer and edit the slimserver.pref file. Not very convenient, but it works. The favorites section in my pref file looks like this:

favorite_titles:
- KUNC 91.5 Greeley
- KUVO 89.3 Jazz Denver
- KGNU 88.5 Boulder
- KRFC 88.9 Fort Collins
- Radio Free Colorado
favorite_urls:
- http://www.kuvo.org/stream/kuvo1.pls
- http://stream.krfcfm.org:8000/veryhi
- http://www.loudcity.net/Portals/0/LCPlayLists/57/RFC_Playlist_File_For_iTunes_1_Entry_160k_MP3_Only .pls

Could you tell me how to edit the slimserver.pref file? I need to change the name of some stations to a short tag. But in notepad the pref file opens up in an essentially unreadable format. What do I use to get it to open in a neat list like JJZolx shows that can be edited? Thanks

I used NoteTab Light. It's freeware:

On windows, wordpad will do fine.
