I have an SB3 - currently, when I try to play an album, it plays according to song title (alphabetically). How do you get it to play by track numbers in sequence? I can't seem to find the settings to do that.

Thanks!

You need to have track number tags set in the files. What file type are you using? Try using a tagger such as Mp3tag to read the tags and check they are ok.

how have you browsed to that album? If you browse music folder, then
everything is ordered alphabetically by filename, so you can rename the
track filesnames if you wan them in track order.

if you browse album, browse artist or browse artwork, then an album
should be played in track order normally (without shuffle on).

If you haven't yet tried the 6.2.2 nightly builds, please do so.

I have the same problem with my MP3 files, they are tagged correctly, MediaPlayer and WinAmp see the track number, as well as my MP3 player.

I had a similar problem with slimserver not seeing the Genre in some mp3
files, although it did find other tags, and found the Genre from all other
mp3s. This was from a recent 6.5 beta; I dont think I saw the problem in 6.2,
but I cant be sure.

Ive recently fixed this by using the 'id3v2' program to copy v1 tags as v2 in
the affected files.

I hope this helps,

I have cleared the database and rescanned my files and it seems te be solved ...
Thnx.
