These might be obvious questions but I haven't been able to find definitive answers yet.

1) Is it correct to say that SlimServer under Linux is not able to use WMADEC to transcode WMA files? Is there any other decoder that can be used and does this decoder support WMA VBR? Can it be installed on a NAS (e.g. Qnap TS-101)?

2) Can SlimServer under Linux stream WMA in native format? Does this include WMA VBR?

You can install mplayer on the NAS boxes.

Yes - for some codecs. We support WMA (It's VBR by default, I believe). We
don't currently support WMA Voice or WMA Lossless in firmware.

Hope that helps!

On second thought, let's not go to Camelot. It is a silly place.
