View Full Version : Can't get shortcuts to work

I'm using ClarkConnect 3.2 Home and have my music in /home/shared/FLAC. I also have my iTunes folder there, on /home/shared/iTunes and would like to add shortcuts to some of the directories in iTunes to my FLAC directory but no combination of // and \ or / seems to work. The shortcut.lnk shows up fine in SlimServer when browsing Music Folders but I cannot get the shortcuts to work. I've tried //ipaddress/home/shared/iTunes/, //Clarkconnect/home/shared/iTunes, etc. and no joy. Can anyone advise me on how to do this?

Thanks

As this is Linux, try creating a softlink. SSH to your machine and do a
"ln -s /home/shared/iTunes /home/shared/FLAC"

It worked! Thank you so much Michael. Now I can listen to all my iTunes-managed Podcasts on the Squeezebox!

Presumably if I wish to delete these softlinks, I can simply delete them from the FLAC directory as visible in Windows?

Oh no, don't do this from Windows. To Windows they just look like another
subfolder. Deleting it will afaik delete all its content. Do a "rm iTunes"
(or whatever the links name was) from a ssh session instead.
