This is admin's dream - Squeezebox in his sauna, with music and monitoring. Thank you SlimDevices! :) Just fix a small problems I got - box displays mess instead of cyrillic characters and I have annoying buzz in right channel. Guess it is chineese inverter power supply. Will try transformer one instead.

Just.... wow. As another geek who uses nagios to monitor all his servers,
I'd love to know more about this. I can see it now: my cell phone beeps
with an incoming message, and all I have to do to see that the database guy
filled a partition again is turn my head 60 degrees from my living room chair!
Any pointers to setting this up would be greatly appreciated.

The easy way would be to set up a notification that's an HTTP request to display a message on the Squeezebox display, like http://slimserver:9000/?p0=display&p1=hello&p2=there&display=ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff

Actually this is a RSS feed of recent nagios events. We wrote a plugin for nagios before, and after I got Squeezebox, we tuned plugin a little not to overload small screen with information.

Is this plugin available for the rest of us? I'm currently building a
nagios infrastructure at the office - would love to show off the SB that
way. Maybe I could order a box for the work as a nagios ticker :-)
