View Full Version : Help: New UK SB3 => Wrong 2-pin Plug?

Hi all,

I am in the process of upgrading my Sb1 to sb3's. I also have 2 Sb2s on my home network. The new Sb3 has been supplied with a European 2 pin connector, which was not much use to me in the UK...at least without an adapter which was not supplied. (Even with an adapter which I eventually bought, the sb3 stands out of the wall too much). All other Sb purchases I have made have had the correct UK 3 pin plug. The box was purchased in the Uk (from scan.co.uk) and on the box it says "UK white" so I am assuming this is not an isolated problem.

What should I do?

I would have thought the answer was obvious.

Contact scan and complain, it's their responsibility to supply you
you with the product you ordered.

Alternatively, contact SlimDevices directly.

I'm not sure which would be faster.

Just to add, it did not look like a retailer problem because the box is correctly labelled, only the contents are wrong, and I thought this post might alert someone somewhere that some of the UK packs may be incorrectly boxed.

Also I did not want to return the pack to scan.co.uk only to receive another one exactly the same!

Sorry to hijack your thread, but i got mine from Scan too.

They are a great retailer for sure, but I had to return my first faulty SB3 to them (screen failure). For such a large and popular firm, they dont seem to get as much stock as other retailers and most retailers have had plenty of stock a while. Does anyone from Progressive Consumer Electronics know when Scan will have more? I am thinking of getting a refund now.

Cut off the plug and rewire it to a UK plug?
