Hi, Can anyone tell me how I can syncronise my SB3 and Softsqueeze running on my PC, so they are playing the same music at the same time?

Cheers

At the web UI, in the settings section, you should see 3 lines:
Server Settings
Player settings for and a MAC address (00:01:02:03)
Player settings for and an ip address (127.0.0.1 for the software player)

Click on either of the player setting lines.

Click on Audio

The first paragraph says "this player can be synchronized with other players ..." Select the other player from the drop-down list and click change.

Done.

To undo it, select No Syncronization.

But I suspect after doing so you'll be disappointed as IME they never
stay in sync for long.

Syncing SoftSqueeze and a hardware player will not be in sync because of the
Java Sound layer and buffering issues.

Hmm...I'm listening to a 1 and a 3 in the same room syched together, so different firmware, and it works fine. According to the code they re-sync before each song.

If you try to listen to radio, there are no synch points, so they could actually drift a fair distance away from each other over time, but (at least for my 2 here) it works fine if they can synch up every couple of minutes.

Sorry, I take it back. I need to go back to bed. Softsqueeze. Yes, that won't work as well.

FWIW I tried this with winamp and you can't even synchronize with it.

With the latest beta the synchronisation has been rock solid so far
today depite everything I've thrown at it. :)
