Is it possible to map more than one directory (or drive) in SlimServer?

I mean if you have your music files in separate folders for some reason could the server merge them?

I know it's a n00b Q, but I hope you'll not shoot me (1st post anyway here)

Yes,
how you do it depends on the OS you are running.
With Linux or other *nix OS, you just create a softlink
to the other directory.

On Windows, you create a link.

...if your Slimserver OS supports shortcuts.

What you need to do is create a top level directory which you point Slimserver at (can contain music also) then shortcuts for each of your music directories within that top level directory.

If either of these locations is a network drive instead of a local one, you may need to do more - Ceejay recommended the troubleshooting section of the Owners Guide ("Mapped network drive") which sorted out my issue.

Thanks, I'm using WinXP SP2.

I'll try to make a link. Easy to forget that it's exists. :)
