Hi,

I'm jut about getting back online after my move - Squeezebox not
unpacked yet :( so I'm trying Softsqueeze.

I see an error trying to use it with v6.0r2365 (see below).

Any idea what is wrong?

Hi Robin,

I have just checked out a fresh version from svn and it seems to be
working ok for me. What browser are you using? This might be a problem
with IE and content caching (it is not a new problem, but has not been
mentioned for a long time). Otherwise could you start the slimserver
with -d__http and that might shed some light on the problem.

Regards,
Richard

kdf has a good point, the version in your jnlp file says 1.7, but in
r2365 it should be 2.0a11. Can you check
server/HTML/EN/html/softsqueeze/softsqueeze.jnlp and see if it is upto
date (look for the later version number). If it is then I suggest
clearing the cache in your browser and/or checking

I dont have access to svn right now, but I have seen the checkins emails. There
is a bit of shuffling and tagging going on right now. Dan mentioned going to
6.0beta today, so you might have simply gotten caught up in mid-merge. I think
r2372 is where it is at now, so an update might do the trick, or try checking
out a fresh copy if you only did an update earlier.

It seems to be an issue with java web start, so I have just had a quick
google. Suggestions are to check your proxy settings in the Java Web
Start App (in File > Preferences), or to delete your Java Web Start
cache (on windows C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\.javaws, you will
need to show hidden folders in explorer).

Richard,

I've had time to look at this again.

The Java Web Start App has setting for proxy "use browser". I had in the
past been changing the proxy I used for my browser and this had got
stuck in the Java Web Start proxy setting.

I reset to "direct connection" and it's working fine now.

Thanks for the pointer.
