Is it just me, or are there quite a few problems with the synching of the devices. I'm running 1 Squeezebox2 and 4 PC's all with the softsqueeze 2 software. It was always a little flaky, but I've just upgraded the server to the latest version, and rather than improving it, it's caused a delay that lasts a second or so between the devices.
Anyone else run into this, or even better... anyone know how to fix it??
Other than that, I do have to say, I am OVER THE MOON with my kit.

Cheers

Softsqueeze has a tougher time keeping up with the hardware because it's
in a virtual machine running on a multitasking OS. However, there are
issues with the synchronization, and it's not always perfect between two
hardware players on a wired Ethernet either. There is a bug in, but since
it's assigned to an ex-employee, it doesn't seem to be on the current
radar :) Try voting for it anyway:

SoftSqueeze synch broke about three weeks ago (if you're on Nightlies);
there's been no word from Richard, maybe he's on an early Xmas break...

No such luck! I am reading the forum, but don't have anytime to respond
at the moment due to work commitments. But just so you all know yes sync
is broken, yes gapless playback is broken, yes I will fix them in the
new year. If this is a real problem for you might want to try
Softsqueeze 2.0beta11 from sourceforge - I think this one will work
better, but I have not checked myself.

Happy xmas,
Richard

Synchronisation seems to work on the latest build - IF you are just using harware ( any version of the Slim devices ). However, once a SoftSqueeze client is included, there is a latency of about half a second for that particular client.

If you just try synchronising a number of SoftSqueeze clients, there is (just-about)OK sunchronisation, but I am guessing that this is because my hardware is of the same generation and this happens by luck rather than by design.
