I have an instance of SlimServer running on a Windows XP box. Should I expect it to be listed on Bonjour Browser [1] running on another computer connected to the same subnet?

None of Rendezvous/Bonjour/Zeroconf browsers I've tried seem to find the SlimServer instance. iTunes gets displayed in exact same browsers just fine.

I do have a non-blank Rendezvous name configured in SlimServer settings.

Would appreciate any insights.

Actually, there isn't bonjour support in SlimServer for Windows
servers. It would be possible to add, but this is the first request
I remember hearing for it. Feel free to create an enhancement
request on http://bugs.slimdevices.com/ and let's see how much demand
there is for it.

To tell you the truth, I don't really need it. I was just experimenting with SlimServer and was wondering why I couldn't see SlimServer in the browser.

I entered bug #2724 to request that the settings page is clarified on Windows. At the moment it is clearly implying that Rendezvous is supported:
----
Rendezvous Name

You can choose a name for this server to be used with Rendezvous. Leave this field blank to disable Rendezvous advertising of SlimServer. You will need to restart the server to see the effect of these changes.
Rendezvous name: [................]

Here I sit, in my friends cafe where I have installed Slim/Squeeze for her. The IP address for the server computer seems to have changed, and I wish it was advertised in Bonjour so I would just see it in Safari on my Mac. Off to vote for this enhancement.
