I _just_ bought 2 of these. Sad to see the metal plate falling off the front without me doing anything to them except letting them sit on the shelf for a week.

What's the solution?

I have two 3 week old SB3's here and just checked them. They both
are having some adhesion trouble just inboard of the edges. I pushed
one of them back down and it popped out again. So I pushed it a little
harder and it stuck for about 3 minutes and then I heard it unstick. I
also now have a slight dimple in the face plate (visible from 5')
where I pushed on it.

I don't know what is going on under that plate but there seems to be
some constant tension on the cover that the adhesive is fighting
against.

So the wired SB2's are all gone?

It has already been reported in other threads that the vendor who made
the aluminum plate made the edges a bit too long, so the plate is
pushed out at the corner. You can contact support (AT) slimdevices (DOT) com for
a replacement plate. They are self-adhesive. Just tear off the
backing.

In my case, I just unscrewed the back, pushed the palte back on and
screwed the plate back in without forcing it too tight. Its been fine
for weeks, and I don't pick at it.

I've ordered 2 SB3's from Multitask computing in the UK.
I presume that the face plate issue will have been addressed on the most current builds of the units?
If so will the ones coming into the UK now (I think my order will be fulfilled by an import from about 1 week ago now? (US ship date).
And if we poor sods in the UK get shafted by a dodgy face plate - will we get the same treatment of new face plates shipped to us direct from Slim? Or do we have to wait another 4 months for the UK to get these parts?!
