I have two week old SB3s one on the HT and one in my office and both seem to be coming apart. The silver piece on both SB3 has pulled away from the base :(...Should I apply some glue or ask for a replacement and is anyone else experiencing such?

Please give us a few days on this - we are receiving the new parts shortly and will arrange replacements to be mailed as needed/requested.

In the mean time, if you're handy, just put some superglue.

Actually, better than superglue might be to slightly loosen the two
screws on the back. This will reduce the pressure from the back case
on the edges of the plates, then press the plate back on firmly.

My unit shipped last Friday, 12/9. Should I loosen the back screws a bit as a precaution, or would my unit be one that shouldn't experience the problem?

You shouldn't have to loosen the screws, recently built players have
the proper torque on the screws already.

If the plate does lift off, please contact support (AT) slimdevices (DOT) com
and they'll send you a replacement.
