Does anyone make a car audio player that has a USB port so I can just plug in a USB flash drive full of audio files and play them?

Does anyone make a car audio player with wireless networking that can grab the audio files off my networked HDD and dump them into either a HDD or flash memory?

Thanks,

TD

I've seen a few car stereos with USB ports - but no known brands. There's an example here: http://www.drgadget.co.uk/product.php?xProd=759&xSec=1 and here: http://www.audiobahn.com/products/2005Products/headunits/headUnits.html

There's also an adapter for Sony stereos here: http://www.crutchfield.com/S-5gkKdqU1GNW/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?g=50900&I=158XA300 although you'd probably need to check its capabilities.

Rockford Fosgate used to make the Omnifi which you could synchronise over wireless LAN, but i think you can only find them on eBay now.

If you're in the U.S. and have a Best Buy nearby, they have an Insignia (BB store brand) head unit that does this:

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=7045388&type=product&productCategoryId=pcmcat52600050007&id=1099396976753

Note that search/list results that include this player list "Ogg Playback" as a feature:

As it would have pushed me to purchase this player instead of the one I did, I did no small amount of contacting various people about this and as best I can tell it is a typo on the search/list results pages. [Being Best Buy, maybe not so] odd that it is still there.
