Um, this doesn't look too good...(Windows .exe/Default & Fishbone skin)
After wiping the cache (db and html) and rescanning from iTunes only I
get:

Your music library contains 4 albums with 7 songs by 1 artist.

The '1 artist' is in fact 'No Artist'
And there are 3 albums plus 'No Album'
(i.e. I'd prefer it if the 'No *' category was removed from the counts
but this is bearable)

Anyway, moving on...

Home / Browse Artists / No Artist / No Album
1 album with 14 songs by 1 artist.
But no songs at all are displayed! (And later this rises to 15 songs - I
have only 7)

Now, my server display format is set to "TITLE" so I am expecting to see
"TITLE from ALBUM by ARTIST"
If I browse by album, I can find tracks, but they are all displayed with
no 'by ARTIST'
Amusingly: 1 album with 1 song by 0 artists.

Similarly. if I browse (iTunes) playlists the tracks are all displayed
minus the artists - but not the albums!
However when I add the playlists to the player, the artists are all
displayed correctly in 'the current playlist'.

So, I changed the display format to "TITLE - ALBUM - ARTIST".
This was displayed correctly in Browse Playlists & the current playlist
to start with.

But then the artist tag started to duplicate itself!
Substance - No Album - Dot Allison, Dot Allison

then three times...
Temptation - No Album - Kid 606, Kid 606, Kid 606
And then four...

So I stopped the server and restarted it. Now look what I get both in
the current playlist and on Softsqueeze:
Substance - No Album - , , ,

On the bright side the tracks do actually play now!

SlimServer 6.0 is a major upgrade to the server software - with a faster
database, smaller memory footprint, better searching, and more 3rd party
integration.

Download here: http://www.slimdevices.com/downloads/SlimServer_v6.0a1/

We value and need your feedback in order to make a solid and rich

Backend Database:

external sources to not interrupt the currently playing audio.
Update plugins to use the new API. Any Plugin that wishes to
make
a HTTP request (GET or POST) should use this API.

* Changes to the string() API - $client->string() should be used
where
$client is available. Plugins should return the token for
getDisplayName()
rather than the string itself.

Command Line API:

* Extended CLI, allowing more access to server information -
Fred.

* browseid3 has been deprecated by browsedb.

* songinfo.html prefers an item (id), but can still deal with an

Right now, you have to add them one by one.
