I just got my SB3 today, and setup was very easy, except it doesn't seem to be finding my SlimServer. I am playing the internet radio through it right now, so the wireless connection must be good. Not sure what to do. Any advice appreciated.

It must have found your slimserver. Can't play Internet Radio without it. As far as I know, you can't use your SB at all if SlimServer is not running.

If you can't play any music stored on your computer, could it be that you have not scanned your music list?

Or does he mean he's listening to Internet Radio via SqueezeNetwork? In which case the SB may not have yet contacted the local SlimServer.

Ok, you know the wireless connection is good since the player is connecting to SqueezeNetwork.

Are you certain that SlimServer running? Can you connect to it through a web browser?

http://localhost:9000 (from the machine on which SlimServer should be running)

or

http://computername:9000 (from another machine on the local network)

It's working! I had to configure my anti-virus to allow access. Oh, man, I'm so psyched. I love this thing.
