Can't get the BBC to play

Hi!

I am trying to get the BBC World Service to play through the Squeezenetwork: https://www.bbc.co.uk/worldservice/m...news_au_nb.asx

It doesn't seem to work. Any ideas why?

The World Service is a mono stream and I seem to remeber reading somewhere on this forum that the SB can't play mono WMA streams.

If you want to play the World Service AlienBBC can play the RealAudio stream, see: http://www.x2systems.com/alienbbc.

Too bad...although I don't understand why there is such a limitation. Do you know any technical reasons?
Do you know where I could request such a feature to Slimdevices? If there are others which are interested, it would be great to hear from you.

Am I right in thinking that AlienBBC is only available via SlimServer? Can it be configured for use via SqueezeNetwork?

AlienBBC is a SlimServer only plugin.

Would it be a cunning idea to remove stations that don't work (eg all the BBC ones) from the Slim Devices picks on Squeezenetwork?

If a way could be found to make the BBC work on squeezenetwork it'd be the best thing since... since the Squeezebox.

Following the recent upgrade to Squeezenetwork, BBCs 5,6,7 and the World Service are now available - go to Internet Radio, Slim Devices Picks, scroll down for by City, London...
