I just upgraded to the 6.2.1 official SlimServer Version: 6.2.1 - 5194 -
Linux - EN - iso-8859-1 on my Linux box, after running a late beta
with great success.

Now when I try to browse folders, the slimserver dies. Completely
reproducible.

Log file says:
Can't call method "path" on an undefined value
at /usr/local/slimserver/Slim/Web/Pages.pm line 1470.
2005-11-18 08:35:29.4921 Error: Couldn't find a topLevelObj for
findAndScanDirectoryTree()

Can't call method "path" on an undefined value

So far everything else is work, but I've not tried everything.

Is this a know problem? Fixed in 6.5.xxx?

Thx

Pat - what is your Music Directory set to?

<iNoah> you know, most free operating systems come preinstalled with their own high horse.

/songs

which exists, is on the server, same box, etc.

Interesting, I just tried again and it is OK now.
The difference being that last night I did a clean and
reinstall from RPMs, and it failed during the initial
scan. Of course, I wanted to listen right now,
not wait for the rescan.

[the scan took ~~40 minutes]

Let me wander arround clicking on things and
see if it is still reproducible, or if
letting the scan finish fixed everything.

Thx

It probably did - regardless, we shouldn't crash there.

<dr.pox> do they call it 'gq' because it makes your text fashionable?

Well, it works for me, but not for my wife.
She clicked on browse folder and the slimserver
crashed again.

I restarted it, and now it is working.
So we may have a buglette.
