Hi,

I've recently upgraded to 6.2 and I'm starting to play with Random Mix which looks like it will be very useful, but . . . .

I want to play by genre, and I classify my music in multiple genres. So for example I may have something like

Track 1: Genre: Rock
Track 2: Genre: Pop
Track 3: Genre: Rock;Pop

And what I want is to be given the choice of 2 genres (Rock with tracks 1 & 3 and Pop with tracks 2 & 3). However I get 3 genres 'Rock' with track 1 only, 'Pop' with track 2 only and 'Rock;Pop' with track 3 only.

Can I do this? If the solution involves having multiple GENRE tags in my FLAC files I would like a hint on how to do this as I couldn't find out how using Audio::FLAC (I use perl to tag my flac files).

Thanks in advance

Malcolm

This should work (it works for me!) but you do have to tell Slimserver what character you are using to separate the values: go to Server Settings / Behavior / Multiple Items in Tags and, in your case, enter a semicolon.

This should fix it for you.

Looks like it worked - but I had to delete the database to make it happen -
a simple rescan didn't fix it.
