View Full Version : One album giving me grief

I added a bunch of new music to my PC yesterday and after a rescan, I have one album where the *track numbers* are showing up in the "browse artists" list of SlimServer. It also shows up fine in the Album list and when I click through from the artist. I have cleared tags and re-tagged and rescanned about three times. The tagging looks fine in my other program. What the heck is going on here?

Another thing I noticed while trying to get this sorted out… if I do "look for new and changed music" instead of "clear library and rescan" I get 2 listings for every artist when it's done. Anyone else?

Edit to add: SlimServer Version: 6.2.1 - 5024 - Windows XP - EN - cp1252

can you provide any info on which version of slimserver you are running, what operating system?
Thanks
Jono

Here's more info… when I click through one of the track numbers in the artist list, I get:

/ Browse Artists / 01 / Backless
1 album with 10 songs by 11 artists
All Songs
Walk Out in the Rain by Eric Clapton from Backless
Watch Out for Lucy by Eric Clapton from Backless
I'll Make Love to You Anytime by Eric Clapton from Backless
Roll It by Eric Clapton from Backless
Tell Me That You Love Me by Eric Clapton from Backless
If I Don't Be There by Morning by Eric Clapton from Backless
Early in the Morning by Eric Clapton from Backless
Promises by Eric Clapton from Backless
Golden Ring by Eric Clapton from Backless
Tulsa Time by Eric Clapton from Backless

So you can see it is showing the artist correctly when I drill down.

Strange… I didn't do anything except run a scheduled rescan last night and the track numbers in my artist list are gone this morning. I still have the duplicate artist problem, but I have filed a bug report on that.
