I'm having no luck at all playing this stream through my SB2. It plays on my PC using Real Player and the Windows Media Player. I'm using the latest nightly download of Slimserver.

Any help would be appreciated.

Nick.

I had a real good look for you, but this stream is a Windows Media stream and I don't think the SB2 can handle that type of stream. I may be wrong.

These links to Classical Baroque stream open in Media Player :-(

Thanks for this DFK, at least I have the consolation of knowing that it's not just me. Curious though, I thought that the SB2 plus Slimserver could handle the Windows Media format now, but evidently not.

Nick.

See http://bugs.slimdevices.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2368 .

With the latest firmware, SB2 is indeed supposed to be able to play WMA. In fact, it can play some things that advertise themselves as WMA and not others, and it is not too clever about telling whether it can or not.

If you can manage to convince the server that the SB2 will not play WMA, the server will happily transcode to something the SB2 will play. One way of doing this is to revert to a server version from before the new, um, feature was (partly) implemented.
