View Full Version : wma/playlist/url help

First let me say, Great Product!!

I'm having an issue attempting to play the following;

I've added it to a .m3u playlist and tried to play it through squeezebox2, with no luck

I've added it to a .wpl playlist and tried to play it through squeezebox2, with no luck

I've attempted to use it as an entry for the 'Radio tune in' url with no luck.

If I plug this url into WMP 10, it works fine.

If you go to Jazztrax.com then to their weekly syndicated show, you will find other urls like this.

I get an error on the SB2 stating ' Problem can't connect to server'

I'm running winxp sp2
SlimServer Version: 6.2.1 - 5024 - Windows XP - EN - cp1252

Network connection is at 80%

Please help

Thank you,

tried it, seems offline. I'm getting a 404 error.
if you get playback via wmp, I'd suggest that it is heavy load or some
sort of content protection

Thanks for trying. I disagree that the server is offline and/or a heavy load. How can it be offline when I can play it in wmp but not through SB2.

Maybe it has content protection, all it is a link to a prerecorded wma file.

Is it possible that someone else could look into this for me?

You might have a look at http://bugs.slimdevices.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2368
for what may be the same problem. If so, you may be able to work around it by reverting to an older version of the server software for now.

So it appears that I have to go back to 6.1.1

Can someone point me to the correct location for me to get version 6.1.1

and still no luck.

Can someone else try to use the url that I posted above and tell me if you can get it to play by using it as a playlist.

Thank you

6.1.1 * AlienBBC here - doesn't work.

SlimServer Version: 6.1.1 - 3774 - Windows XP - EN - cp1252

I don't have AlienBBC installed, in case that matters.

I pasted the exact text from your message into the Tune In box under Help/Radio, then saved the current playlist. It plays for me on SqueezeBox2 and on SoftSqueeze.
