Hello

I upgraded to Slimserver 6.2 yesterday. Today I noticed that my SlimP3 can no longer connect to radio stations which stream in WMA format, for example:

mms://212.112.166.206:80/02038_P1-wm-High?MSWMExt=.asf

Lame is correctly installed. With Slimserver 6.1 I could connect to this radio station without any promblem.

Any help would be highly appreciated

Because I hate to wake up without the sound of my favorite radio station I had to uninstall SS 6.2 and install 6.1.1 again. Everything works perfect now.

I really hope this problem will be fixed soon, because I really liked some of the features of SS 6.2. Especially the new alarm clock.......

Regards

Magbert

What platform are you running on?

Could you post the output of --d_source and --d_parse when you try to play the stream [turn these debugging options on the server
settings web page, or start server with these options]

I tried the stream on w/svn 4846, and get this with d_source and d_parse. The server crashes when trying to play:

I installed 6.2 again. This is the log-file (attached as .txt):

Doesn't look to me as if this stream is still valid - I can't get it to work in WMP...

There is definitely nothing wrong with the stream. I am listening to it right now (using SS 6.1.1). Perhaps it helps if I post the playlist.

Yep, I agree with Magbert. I have the same problem with this stream: http://www.quicknet.com.au/netshow/4mbs.asx -- my story is the same as his, except I am using a SB2. With AlienBBC, there is no problem listening to this stream in 6.1.1, but it does not play in 6.2.

Hmmm, you initially gave:

mms://212.112.166.206:80/02038_P1-wm-High?MSWMExt=.asf

but the playlist contains:

mms://sr-wm.qbrick.com:80/02038_P4riks-wm-High?MSWMExt=.asf
mms://212.112.166.209:80/02038_P4riks-wm-High?MSWMExt=.asf

The one you gave, and the second one in the playlist do not play. The first in the playlist does.

sr-wm.qbrick.com is IP 195.149.168.17. The other two IPs do not seem reachable, at least by me.

My SB2 plays the first stream in your playlist w/6.5b.

Often the streaming urls change, so you really need to use the metafile (asx url).

I have this problem with several radio stations. That's why I by mistake gave you two different streams. I can't get any of these streams to work in 6.2. And they play in Windows Media Player and SS 6.1.1 so they are definitely reachable.
