I've got a 3.3v super regulator to use for the SPDIF output, where is the best place to connect it in on an SB2?

Thanks in advance for the help

The simplest approach would be to remove L8 and D4, bypassing the LT1940L supply. Then attach the super reg across, say, C30, or anywhere else close to the oscillator or xilinx.

Use a continuity meter from the "GND" or "3V3" vias, near C19, to identify a convenient place to attach the reg. You can put it right across C19 if you want, but closer to the xilinx chip might be better.

Oh, and please be careful. :)

Double-check along each step to make sure the voltages are what you think they are at each point where you intend to wire in the regulator.

I lucked out one time wiring up a power supply backwards to a DAC eval board - there was a diode to protect the chips. There is no such protection on the internal rails in SB2.
