Hi kdf

SlimServer Version: 6.2b1 - 4515 - Mac OS X 10.4.2 (8C46) - EN - utf8
(but this issue has been around for a while) ...

The lower portion of the player-related info is not updated
(i.e. track within playlist) when using Safari.

[It updates OK with Explorer
but there are other issues with Explorer on OS X ...]

Regards

Mike

Not a fishbone skin problem. All skins fail to update for safari. It
seems to
ignore the reload(false) javascript command.

Handheld shouldn't as it's not using javascript to do the refresh. Is
there a reason the other skins don't use the refresh meta tag? We could
even have both...

right. I should have said all skins using frames fail to update.

refresh would only work on a regularly scheduled change. Using play controls
would still have a problem. The issue is that when the status or
status_header
reloads, for whatever reason, the playlist.html should be reloaded in
its frame
as well. I can find no reference for the reload() command failing in Safari,
and the d_http log seems to show that the server is being told to provide it.
Safari just doens't seem to update. Whether or not its a caching issue is
unknown. After hours and hours of searching, I've given up. It is someone
else's problem now :)

Given the state of things, I'd suggest that even a refresh meta will fail. A
full page refresh sometimes fails to update.
