Trying both last nights nightly build, and the one I had previously installed (005-09-21), I am now having problems.... (005-09-21 was working fine until last night!)
Slimtray is just sitting there with the message "Slimserver starting..."
and I get the following in the event viewer:

"The description for Event ID ( 0 ) in Source ( Application ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and Support for details. The following information is part of the event: Perl interpreter failed."

Any thoughts ??

Try opening a command window and type:

cd C:\Program Files\SlimServer\server

slim.exe

And tell us what it prints out.

Seems like the main error may be:

2005-10-02 09:28:02.5270 DBD::SQLite::db prepare_cached failed: no such column:
remote(1) at dbdimp.c line 268 at /PerlApp/Ima/DBI.pm line 391, <DATA> line 1.

uninstalled, deleted the directory and re-installed. All working fine ...
Now... where's those AlienBBC instructions...! :(

Hmm.. its back !
I can run slim.exe from the cmd window and all seems fine. However, if I launch via slimtray.exe, it just sits there as '..starting'. I have managed to get it to start via the icon a couple of times, but it dies pretty quickly (few secs or a few mins). Same error in the event manager as before - but no error on the cmd line used to launch slim.exe (unlike before)
Any thoughts ?? Could this be AlienBBC related ? I only just got it installed again and the prob came back. Would seem strange though....
