When I start slimserver (perl slimserver.pl) on my WinXP machine,
I get this output:
gotta gain: 2.92256071356476
gotta gain: 2.92256071356476
gotta gain: 2.92256071356476

gotta gain: 2.92256071356476
gotta gain: 2.92256071356476

Now, where does that come from, should I worry?

Nothing to worry about. It's a rogue print statement left in by Dean. It simply means that the itunes plugin is reading volume adjustment values out of itunes.

I've posted a trivial patch to fix this. With any luck, the messages should disappeaar tomorrow (unless of course you're running with iTunes debug turned on).
