    SlimServer config...

I just installed SlimServer last night. Nice! Very nice!

    But do have a question.

I went to the office this morning, hit the server (its at home) from my desk and it asked for a log in (yes, I turned on security). I was under the impression that the log-in was for server admin only. I was wrong.

I gave it my log-in and winamp just keep trying to queue up something but keep bouncng to ZERO.

I opened the admin screen in a browser, saw my office IP, hit that and saw there wasn't any playlist queued up. I added the ALL playlist, hit PLAY and winamp started right up. I'm listening to my collection now.

It looks like each individual access needs to be self configured. I was wondering if there was anyway to have a "generic" login for players without having to login to the admin screen to access playlist(s)?

Or even have different logins (accounts) that can have different playlists?

Or am I asaking for too much (again)?

    Thanks for a great server.

I can now listen to my lbrary from work, makes life here a lot easier!

You're right, there's no way to separate streaming access from the web
site's access. The password is all or nothing.

If you just want to hide the settings pages to prevent from accidental
changes, you can try the NoSetup plugin from my page.
