Hi,

I've managed to get slimserver working on my linkstation (mips version) but i'm a little unsure if it's configured correctly as it seems to use a lot of system resource. I've searched these forums and the web without much luck and i was wondering if someone could tell me if these values are normal.

The slimp3 player seems to hicup when going onto the next track and seems to stop & start if i turn the volume up on the remote.

I've attached the performance counters when increasing the volume below.

This load is pretty normal while SlimServer is scanning your collection.
This can take hours, if you've got a large (several ten thousand songs)
collection. My Via C3/600MHz will take about 30 minutes to scan 6500
songs.

Once the scan is done, the cpu load should come down considerably.

I was wondering i have about 25,000 mp3's so it takes days to scan for music. I was thinking about clearing my music collection and just using the "browse music folder" to add music. Would this work?

Thanks
