I have the George Michael "Faith" album and the Faith Hill "Faith" album. Each is in it's own folder. When I browse by ARTWORK the George Michael "Faith" album does not show up but the Faith Hil "Faith" album artwork does. When I mouse over the Faith Hill "Faith" album artwork it says that it is the George Michael "Faith" album. However, when you click on the Faith Hill "Faith" album artwork to play, the George Michael "Faith" artwork is displayed in the PlayList along with the tracks from both albums.

If you browse by Artist and click on either the Faith Hill or Geroge Michael "Faith" albums they display correctly with the correct tracks.

Annoying isn't it? See this thread: http://www.cdrinfo.com/Sections/Reviews/Print.aspx?ArticleId=14268
And: http://bugs.slimdevices.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1378

You can fix this by adding the title under Server Settings > Behavior > Common Album Titles but IMO SlimServer should separate duplicate album titles without user intervention.

You're looking at a four month old enhancement request addressing this issue. It's a request for an approach to the problem that wouldn't require everyone to enter all of their duplicate album titles in that little box. In the meantime, Sue's suggestion is the only workaround.

Go to Server Settings > Behavior and find the section under the title 'Common Album Titles'. Add any album names that are in your collection by more than one artist. You'll have to add the album names one at a time. After you've done this, go to the main Server Settings page and to 'Rescan Music Library'. Check 'Clear library before rescan' then hit the Rescan button. When Slim Server finishes, your problem should be fixed.
