Hi Everyone,

As you may have guessed I am not too hot on computer things.
At long long last I have pc and wireless network set up and SB which should be arriving within the next few days!!

A thought just occurred to me though playlists I have had a read of some posts but am still unclear are we able to create and save v basic playlists with slimserver, or do we need something else to save playlists that slimserver understands?

( Oh I have the slimserver before the latest release)

Look forward to hearing any help
Cheers

No, you don't need any special tools. Just surf with your browser to the server's interface, and configure your playlists to your heart's content.

You can also do this from SB2, but that's more tedious.

You have your PC now. If you have not already, download and install the server on your PC. Then use the web interface to start configuring playlists. Use the included SoftSqueeze app to play your music on your PC while you wait that fancy SB2.

Slimserver understands WPL, M3U and PLS playlist formats, so you can create them
with other software. Just make sure that the reference to the raw files is the
same. If you create a playlist with Windows Media player, you can't just copy
the playlist to another folder becuase the playlist refers to the music files
with a path relative to where the playlist is originally saved.

You can also save any current playlist from slimserver. Look on the right side,
above the playlist and below the "now playing" section. If you have a playlist
folder defined in your server settings, then you should see a set of links
"download | save | clear". Clicking on save will allow you to save your
playlist for later.
