View Full Version : Playing all songs in folder

Hi,

I am using a SB (not the SB2) and recently upgraded to the 6.1 server. Since the upgrade, whenever I try to play the songs in a folder (via Browse Music Folder), it just plays the first song and stops. In the server settings, I of course have the ´Play other songs in album´ option checked.

This reminds me of an earlier thread, but there it was concluded the problem only holds for albums, not for folders. Maybe I am overlooking something trivial?

Thanks & best regards,
Bodie

The setting only applies for albums, and even then only when the remote
is used. With the faster browse music folder, it does not recognise
grouping and adding by folder from a single song. The description in
the setting should already reflect this.

You should be able to queue up all the songs in a folder
(recursively) by pressing PLAY when viewing that folder's name.

If that doesn't work, then we need to open a bug against that....

um...we do.

it isn't described the same way, but it IS the reason the folders cannot be
added. you get one song and then it just skips through id's

That bug is confusing.

The behavior I described:
>> You should be able to queue up all the songs in a folder
>> (recursively) by pressing PLAY when viewing that folder's name.

Should happen no matter what the preference setting is.

The preference should only affect what happens when you press PLAY/
ADD on a song in a folder.

oops...sorry about that. Yes, adding from folder name should work. Within the
folder doesn't, and and the part that caused that bug was removed.

Hi Dean and kdf,

Indeed it works starting from the folder itself. I may now re-organize my classical flac files: a multi-movement piece in a separate folder rather than all pieces in one folder.

Thanks for helping out.
