Sort by Artist in Browse Artwork

Is it possible to sort by Artist name when I am browsing artwork?

I really like your suggestion for a pulldown with sort order. A pref would only be needed if you wanted users to be able to designate an initial default. A better idea might be a cookie that remembers the most recent setting. Killing two birds, using a cookie would also make this a soft of user pref rather than a system pref.

My suggestions for order/hierarchies, if it could be done:

Album (as it is now)
Artist, Album
Artist, Year
Genre, Artist, Album
Genre, Artist, Year
Year, Artist, Album
Year, Genre, Artist, Album

The (small) irony here would be that this ability to designate sort orders would be much more flexible than in any of the other browse modes. I'll bet it would become far and away the most used web UI browsing mode if users had this kind of flexibility, plus you get artwork.

Just wanted to note that I completely agree. I use the artwork browser more than anything else and I've been waiting for the ability to sort by artist since it was introduced. Bump!
