is there a newer module for crestron control other than the one that is contained on the plugins page?

also, is there a way to enter a letter directly, other than a number key being pressed in sequence?

is there also a way to make cover art appear in the crestron page over the data interface?

The plugins page typically has the latest and greatest available for general
consumption. I know of nothing newer.

Support for this is via a newish feature in the CLI, added specifically for
AMX NetLinx support. Such CLI support could be used by Crestron as well,
should someone decide to revisit.

Note that a bunch of CLI browsing capability was added for AMX NetLinx as
well. To the best of my knowledge, there's no form of "intelligent
browsing" for Crestron as there is for AMX.

If you want these things, a fair chunk of the work is done - SlimServer need
not be extended (since it was added for AMX NetLinx). But the Crestron
module will most certainly need to be reworked.

Connect to your SlimServer via HTTP.

Click Technical Information -> Command Line Interface. That gives you all
the details that you need.

Everything's been merged in as of v6.0.2. I don't suggest you try to use
the CLI for browsing or other advanced functions with prior versions. A lot
of the support was in v5.2, but enough changed where you should really start
with v6.0.2 (or later).

There is also a Crestron module that I have written. You can download a demo module to try before you buy.
