I just installed the slimserver-6.0.2-1.noarch RPM on my SuSE 9.2 box. I also cut-and-pasted the SuSE 9.1 startup script into /etc/init.d.

Whenever I attempt to execute the startup script:

/etc/init.d/slimserver start

I get the following:

Starting SlimServer done
Bastion:/etc/init.d # Use of uninitialized value in string eq at /usr/local/slimserver/Slim/Utils/Prefs.pm line 390.

I'm not really sure what the error is, but line 390 of Prefs.pm is:

if (ref($DEFAULT{$key} eq 'ARRAY')) {

Can anyone help me out?

Thanks!

What plugins do you have installed? Did you run slimserver before this?

I don't know exactly what debug options you could turn on to get some more
output. But at least to see if it's a plugin's problem you could run the
server using -d_plugins and post the output here.
