Everything was working great with the previous version. Now when I start the server, the scan log looks like this:

Scan::readList gonna read file:///F:/music/
2005-06-30 11:57:38.8767 Gonna try to open playlist file:///F:/music/
2005-06-30 11:57:38.8769 Got /F:/music/ from file url file:///F:/music/
2005-06-30 11:57:38.8772 extracted: F:\music\ from file:///F:/music/
2005-06-30 11:57:38.8792 *** didn't find file:///F:/music/ in playlist cache ***

2005-06-30 11:57:38.9468 directory: F:\music\ contains 472 items
2005-06-30 11:57:38.9480 directory entry: file:///F:/music/

2005-06-30 11:57:38.9554 directory entry: file:///F:/music/Air
==snip==

It then ennumerates all the 472 directories and starts again with the same log entries:
2005-06-30 12:01:12.9174 directory entry: file:///F:/music/the%20secret%20goldfish
2005-06-30 12:01:12.9188 adding 472 to playlist cache: file:///F:/music/
2005-06-30 12:01:12.9225 Descending into file:///F:/music/, contains 472 items...

I've got some m3u files in my album directories, and 6.1b1 is scanning the m3u and producing bogus results - I've now got about 2000 more songs in my library than actually exist. Here is an excerpt from the scan log when scanning the Portishead/Dummy directory:

2005-07-02 18:41:14.0487 itempath: file:///D:/Music/MP3/Portishead/Dummy/Portishead%20-%20Biscuit.mp3 and file:///D:/Music/MP3/Portishead/Dummy made file:///D:/Music/MP3/Portishead/Dummy/Portishead%20-%20Biscuit.mp3

I had no such problems with the 12 June 2005 nightly, and I have wiped the cache when rescanning with 6.1b1.

Should I file the m3u problem as a bug? It seems to have been introduced in one of the recent nightlies so not sure if a bugzilla is warranted.

Have added my comments to bug 1735 (http://bugs.slimdevices.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1735) as it may be associated with this bug - Dan appears to be working on the playlist scanning.

Dan just got back from a long 4th of July weekend in Los Angeles and will be
spending the next day catching up on email. :)

Yes - playlists in the audiodir are an issue, and I will be looking at it.

Thanks.

then you'd best re-iterate the details of your system, server version, os,
plugins installed/enabled, file types, network/local drives, library size, etc.

the release of 6.1 is only a week or two away, so the more details the better at
this point. file a bug report if you want, add d_info logs to show as examples
of the problem, etc.
