    [Mac] database problem

    Hello !
I am using Mac OS X 10.4.1 with an "old" slimp3. Before upgrading to Tiger, everything was ok. Now I cannot start the server without having the "wheel of death" coming and staying for a few minutes completely blocking the system.
I used version 6.02 and 6.1nightly build with the exact same problem.

Here is the log I have:
It looks like there is a problem with SQLite database...
    Any clues ?
    Thanks in advance.

That disk io error looks a bit scary. To be safe, I'd run Disk Utility.

Once that's done and you are confident your disk is in good shape,
try deleting Home -> Library -> SlimServer
which will delete your database files.

    Then restart.

      Thanks for your quick answer.
Disk Utility did not find any errors. I repaired permissions too but same thing happened with same message.

I created a new user and the slimp3 server started this time without any problems.
What do you think it is ?

I will run Disk Warrior to check my hard drive...

        Re: [Mac] database problem

Try deleting all slim preferences in your home folder.

          Hello again.
Strange thing. Deleted everything, ran Disk Warrior, rebuilt directories: no errors found. Installed slim server again. Same message....

Works well from the new user though...

          P.S:
When you say all preferences, what do you mean ? I only have a com.slimdevices.slim.plist and the slimdevices folder in home/library...

Yep that's it, stop the slim server (if it's running).
There's also another one in ~/Library/Preferences called
            com.slimdevices.slim.plist.
            I would delete both.

Look for Home -> Library -> Caches -> SlimServer and delete that.
That will remove your database file, where the problem apparently is.

That did the trick. Thank you very much for your help all of you.
