What's the official way to submit bugs, and feature requests?

For bugs, should I just go in to bugzilla, and add what I think is a bug, or should I bounce it around on one of the email lists first?

For feature requests...same question...what do I do?

I have a few suggestions around the "Multiple Items In Tags" settings that would make it very useful. (does it even do anything right now?! 'cause it certainly doesn't do what it says)

Usually some discussion is good first, and then bug creation for feature or bug report.

But it can go the other way too - just whatever feels more natural to you.

What part isn't working? I use it with commas & semicolons just fine.

Ok...for starters, under "Multiple Items In Tags", the description reads
"SlimServer can extract multiple artist, album titles and genres from the
tags inside your music files. If SlimServer finds any of the words or
characters below in your tags, it will create individual listings for each
item. For example, if you put a semicolon in the list below, a song with an
artist tag of "J. S. Bach;Michael Tilson Thomas" will appear in the artists
area for both "J. S. Bach" and "Michael Tilson Thomas"."

I am splitting on semi-colons. I have a Santana album in my collection, and
ont of the songs has an artist of "Santana; Rob Thomas". This song does not
show up under SANTANA, or ROB THOMAS....but shows up under "Santana/Rob
Thomas". Is this proper behaviour? If so...the description for that pref
is incorrect...if not, then it should be fixed.

There should be an option as well for when there are multiple artists in a
tag...you could choose "add each artist seperately" (added as "Santana" and
as "Rob Thomas"), or "add as single artist" (added as Santana/"Rob Thomas"),
or "add as all" (which means the song would be added as "Santana", and "Rob
Thomas" and "Santana/Rob Thomas")

Also...I see that in the code there's an exemption for "R&B". I would like
to see this be a user-configurable list...as I would like to split on the
SLASH character, but exempt the band AC/DC from being broken up into artist
"AC" and artist "DC".

(I am running the latest stable release on the download page on Windows XP,
if that makes a difference here)

Danny RegoI have the same request... Until then, this is where using MySQL is handy for me.. I can can go in and get rid of "AC" and "DC" and make them one...
