After upgrading to the latest firmware version (11), my Squeezebox2 won't
play anything. Everything seems to work as usual; I can browse, search
and whatnot, but whenever I press "Play", it seems to start playing for a second ot two, then gives up.

I have tried with OGG, FLAC and Internet radio. I have also tried to get
some info from the server by running it with loads of debugging without
getting anything that seems relevant to the problem. Ditto for strace.
There are no error messages neither on the player or the server.

I have tried to upgrade the firmware again by holding "Brightness" for 5
seconds. This works fine, but the problem persists. It mey be that the problem is not the firmware at all since downgrading to the version that comes with SlimServer 6.0.1 doesn't help either.

Ethereal doesn't show anything very interesting (to me). Some IR events, a lot of STAT's and a few ANIC's.

The serial number of my Squeezebox2 is 2308D7A. The SqueezeServer is
running on a Debian box with Linux 2.6.11.3 and Perl 5.8.4, and I have tried versions 6.0.1 and 6.0.2 of SqueezeServer.

Any help greatly appreciated!

Do the players have access to the server's port 9000? Or did you block
access for some networks in server settings / security?

No, but I did bind the Slimserver to another interface than the wireless one,
thus breaking things for the Squeezebox. Thanks for saving my weekend! :-)
