Hi,

I've been experimenting with the X-fade options in Slimserver 6.0.2 and it seems there is something funny going on.
I've upgraded to FW V14 to get around "lock ups" where the Squeezebox would just stop responding.

Say I've got a playlist with 2 tracks.
I've selected the option to fade in track 2 as track1 fades out at the end.

I've got 10 seconds set as the x-fade duration.
what I'm expecting is a seemless transition between the 2 tracks.

Instead, it seems to me that Track 1 will often just fade out to silence and then track 2 will begin and slowly fade in.

Also, often track 2 will not fade in properly. Instead of a linear increase in volume, the sound will jump or step up to the max volume.

Finally if I'm listening to track 2 and I pick a random album to begin playing, the following will happen.

I press play to start track 3.
Track 2 stops dead (no smooth fade out)
2 or 3 seconds of silence
Track 3 starts at regular volume.

I would expect track 2 to fade out or only begin fading out when track 3 is ready to start playing.

I noticed the same behavior playing mp3s. Crossfade set to 10 seconds, and to ON, with two synchronized players, I get doodily squat. The firtst song just fades out, then silence for a few seconds, then the next song fades in.

Any tricks to getting this working? Are any others experienceing issues with crossfade?

Sorry, crossfade doesn't work on synchronized players yet.
